Project Management Certificate

Project Management is the process of planning, organizing, and managing resources to complete project goals and objectives. Project Managers can be found in all kinds of businesses and industries and are charged with the task of seeing projects through successfully while attending to issues of scope, quality, time, and budget.

The Project Management program at Nebraska Wesleyan University is not a degree program, rather, it is an undergraduate certificate offered through Wesleyan Advantage. Students learn the fundamentals of project management concepts, receive training in Microsoft Project, and learn the tools and skills needed for a lucrative career in project management.

Nebraska Wesleyan students can opt to earn the undergraduate certificate alone or the project management coursework can be used as a supporting program for the Bachelor of Business Administration degree or as a specialization area for the Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication.

Note: A Graduate Certificate in Project Management is not offered.

Fast, Flexible Format
Students can complete Nebraska Wesleyan’s Project Management program in 28 weeks. Courses are offered in four consecutive five-week sessions, followed by one eight-week session. Classes meet one night a week in both Lincoln and Omaha.

Project Management Professional (PMP)
Individuals who hold the PMP credential demonstrate a proficient level of project management leadership skills, and as a result can earn considerably more than their uncertified peers.

To be eligible for a PMP credential, persons must meet specific guidelines established by the Project Management Institute (PMI) that objectively measure experience, education and professional knowledge. Wesleyan Advantage courses fulfill the 35 hours of project management education required by PMI. For more information on PMP certification, visit www.pmi.org.
